PHOTO ESSAY: Duterte is a one-word man

Image
It is always difficult for us to stick with our promises — what we promised to do and what we should not, especially when there are a lot of people who heard and knew about your promises. Just like last Election 2016 wherein a lot of the  candidates stated their 3Ps: programs, plans and promises. And because of the last P which is promise, people put those in mind and are hoping that those will happen. Best example of the person who promised is our President Rodrigo Duterte who indicated that corruption, poverty and drugs will end in his administration. As he sits on the position for more or less three months, he had done a lot of work to end the country’s big issues and it only shows that Duterte is a one-word man. Pardo Night 2016

One of the events that we look forward every year is the participation and the presentation of ACT in Pardo as they celebrate their annual fiesta. It began years ago and for this year, we showcased a presentation with the theme Circle of Life.     Breathtaking performances were shown from Grade School to Senior Highschool students in front of the crowd and important guests from the administration, our beloved principal and the officiating priest during the prior mass before ACT's event. Everyone was obviously nervous and excited at the same time. Everyone wants to start their performances right away so that it'll finish right away too. Bringing nervous inside ourselves is so heavy- di keri.    The Junior Highschool Department opened the event by showing different sides of performances- from fierce dances to strong vocals. The Grade School department showcased their cuteness in their performances that made everyone feel the gigil while they're performing. There was

Buwan ng Wika: Kasuotang Pilipino

Image

PARODY: We Filipinos Have Comfort Rooms

(A Parody of 'We Filipinos are Mild Drinkers') The American troupe landed in the rice field of Cagayan wherein they stayed for a while with their tents and stuff. One of the soldiers, Peter Merlock, went out from the tent and was trying to escape from someone — or was trying to hide something. 'Gosh! This military thingy is so tiring! Ugh!' He did not know that a young Filipino farmer heard him while having a good conversation with his carabao. 'Was that you, Sir? I think I heard a female voice in the troupe.' Peter was shocked when he turned back and realized what the farmer meant. He cleared his throat then said, 'What me?! I-I did not do anything, farmer! Get back to work!' He exclaimed with his manly voice. The farmer then left with a curious mind and sighed. The next day, Peter was looking for a comfort room in the fields. 'How many times do I have to repeat this, Merlock?! There are no comfort rooms here!' The general said with

How To Win A Jingle Competition?

Image
It has always been a routine that when the month of July arrives, everyone will be busy with different activities prepared every year including the jingle-making contest based on the theme. From Grades 4 to Grade 10, you'll hear the loud voices from the students and loud sounds from the beat boxes during the practices. We may have different concepts and songs, we all have one goal in the competition: to win as the champions. (c) Google But fulfilling that goal is not easy. There are important traits to apply in every member and in the group. First on the list is to have cooperation. Everyone must agree on the decisions and plans in and of the group. Everyone must help one another and do tasks together to finish early. (c) Google. Again. Second, all of the members must have discipline among themselves because if everyone sees that one is disciplined from the start until the end, everyone will be motivated and will be lift up too. Last but not the least; every
